Before we dig into the details of how we refinished our kitchen table, I have a couple of confessions!!! Hey! My mom always said: “honesty is the best policy”!... This cost me $0, yes $0. It was given to me by a family friend... Free is always the best!!
Just so you are all aware, the full post can be viewed here on my website!! It has a more pictures and details of the process.
This has to be my favorite make over project I have done so far. It taught me so much about renovating furniture and I will always smile every time I see it.

Kitchen tables can cost into the $1000's and with being a first time home buyer I did not have lots of $$$$ left over. So when I was offered a free table I jumped at the chance and saw it as an opportunity to being my DIY journey.
How do you like the original table? A little to much orange for me and 2016.
The second time around sanding after my first miss-hap!! Please see my website on the link below for the complete story. Trust me when I say this project was a great learning experience for me and Jason!
Once I had sanded down the top I applied a pre-stain and then my stain. Once the stain had dried over night I applied a coat or polyurethane to protect her!!
