I have seen people paint flowers, etc on them and hang them in their rooms or even over another window! Have fun!

Use a waterproof Marine type glue and glue baubles and glass onto the background of the glass.

You could take the glass out add chicken wire to the back with some cute little clothespins for notes. Put a shelf along the top and some hooks at the bottom for keys

I saw someone paint chalkboard paint in the background, then put a M/T/W/T/F on each square, leaving one blank at the beginning and end. Use for a weekly calendar ...

If you are into rustic, just varnish to keep what paint is there in place. Then clean the glass and fill with snap shots of the family and pets. Fill one with photos of people you have lost. Make one for your mom for Mother's Day with them in the middle and her kids and grandkids (get dad to sneak out the photos for you). Put I screws at each corner and hang with a nice cord.

I have one, too. I saw the chalkboard paint idea, but, I decided to attach coordinating colored paper on the back of each pane and use dry erasable markers (instead of chalk) to keep track of the family's master calendar

I have one hanging in my LR as if it's a piece of art. I have a metal scroll on the top for décor and then I hang dried flowers on it. Let me know if you'd like a photo for inspiration.

Get some Krylon Mirror spray paint, Spray each panel with it, and voila ~ you have a wonderful mirror!! There are sooo many great ideas! Check out pinterest, and also Google 'old window' ideas!

Two ideas 1.Trace hand prints of children or grandchildren. Paint their name under each with a few flowers around and the words Nana's Garden. Idea 2. Glue glass beads and sea glass on the glass. add add chain and hang as a faux stained glass window. good luck

I made a table out of the same type of windows and use it as a side table in my living room ,,,I used L brackets in each corner to hold them togehter and I put my Fathers Flag from his burial in a glass flag holder and it sits inside the box of the frames....it works out so good...have fun with it

I have a very ugly house next door so I frosted glass with clear stenciled areas. Chained up, down and to each to protect from the wind. That house next door looks better already!

I would paint the trim, and buy stained glass paint and paint designs in each pane, then place them in a garden, where the sun can shine through them. Or you can mount a chain on top and hang in front of an existing window in your home.

hi I had a larger widow that looked the same and I broke out a few random squares and took really small bottles and filled with dried flowers, added a little ribbon, looked awesome.

If you are a gardener, you could use them as a start for a greenhouse or turn them into cold frames. Of course I don't know how cold it gets in your part of Texas, so I don't know if they would really be needed. Another cute idea would be to turn them into an arbor for climbing plants. You could still do the kids' hand print idea, and have it on the inside of the arbor, so every time you walked through it would be like they were touching you.

Paint flowers or leaves on them. If you don't paint, look around and see if there is someone around there that paints 'Donna Dewberry One Stroke'. You will have to go to her website, look under teachers and put your info in and you can see if there is someone in your area. I have seen some beautiful old windows that some of the ladies have done. These people are professional decorative painters so I know they will do it justice.

I had some old windows like these and we removed the old glass and put mirrors in each space, sweetened up the frames a bit and hung it. Loved it!

I have used old windows in many ways the 2 I like the most was a hanging pot rack in my Kitchen and the second was a picture frame, sometimes the opening are just the right size for 8x10 pictures. I have thre boys and there were 6 openings and I put their baby pics in the top row and their first born babys in the bottom.

Oh, Lucky You! Love Those Windows! I Would Use Them In So-o-o Many Ways! You could sand them, refinish, and add spindle legs for a very unique table - you could add them to your garden as sun-catchers - maybe you mosaic with broken dishes or pepples glued on it to form a design or even with stickers or your hand-painted design. You could paint each "pane" for the seasons - hang against the house or positioned in the garden or even inside! Or collage with family photos and hang on a prominent wall inside your home. You could just hang behind a bed as a unique headboard. You could use it in an outside entry way with your house number painted on it. Or in a Mud Room with hooks for outter-gear; raincoat, straw hats, woolen scarfs or umbrella. Or garden tools near a potting shed with the rake and trowel. These windows could be just hung behind your sofa and painted a coordinating room color. Or, you could remove the glass - and suspend from kitchen ceiling with a simple chain or rope for pots/pans - even from outside alcove for hanging plants, etc.

If the window has glass in it, spray paint the glass with this wonderful product called 'looking glass'. Makes the window look very vintage!

There are so many things one can make or do with old windows like these. 1. Hang on the wall with individual photos attached behind them or better yet, have your favorite photo enlarged to fully behind it making sure if there's people in the photo that they are position as to not have their faces "cut" in two. 2. Make a curio/shadow box coffee table. 3. Use as doors to make cabinets for displaying dishes in the kitchen or dining room or towels in a bathroom. 4. Make a dry erase board by either paining the back or covering the back with light colored craft paper. You can write on the glass with wipe off pens. 5. Make a chalk board painting the front of the glass with chalk board paint. 6. Reverse paint your house numbers on the back of each pane and then paint over them with a contrasting solid color and hang on your home. 7. Make a hanging room divider by putting sturdy hooks into the ceiling joists and attaching other windows below them with hooks and eyes. Use Gallery glass, faux stained glass to color in the pains to add privacy if needed.
