The Fig Tree

Luis
by Luis
I have small fig trees and one of them has some ripen fruit the problem I have to keep it in the garage so the squirrels don’t eat the fruit before I do but it is worth all the work they are delicious.

@ Douglas Hunt I grew up in Ohio and I miss willow trees. Are there any variety that will grow here in Florida? ( fingers crossed )

@Shirley You probably will have to seek out a native plant nursery to find them, Shirley, but, yes, there are willows that grow here. There is the coastal plain willow, Salix caroliniana, and the Florida willow, Salix floridana.

Luis ~ I love my fig tree that grows in the ground here in Delaware. I cut it way back every year. The birds love whatever I don't take!

@Luis ~ Even here (7a) I had to be careful and site it in a more sheltered spot in the yard!
