Rose Cutting in Mini "greenhouse"

by Ivylore
I received a beautiful arrangement of roses for my birthday. After a week, I was ready to throw them away... as I was getting them ready to discard, I noticed two small sprouts on one of the rose stems. I decided to try to save them. I snipped them both and put them in a nice mixture of garden soil. I used a plastic liter pop bottle to make a "mini-greenhouse," watered it and put it in my window. I will be keeping my fingers crossed and hoping mother nature will do her thing and let these tiny sprouts grow into beautiful yellow roses next year!
Covered the little sprouts with the pop bottle to make a little "greenhouse" and placed it on my windowsill
Spotted the 2 tiny sprouts on the dying rose stem. I snipped the green sprouts and planted them
Planted the two tiny sprouts in a small pot in nice garden soil and watered them
