Plant / Weed???
This looks like a poinsettia . If it is, I sure didn't know they grew outside.

They don't actually need much humidity. They grow outside in southern California, and I have seen them taller than the house they were planted by! But the one pictured doesn't look like a Poinsettia to me.

Ive heard, that 6-8 weeks before the holidays if you place a paper bag, then covered with a plastic bag over it and cut an apple inside that it will force it to color out. Maybe check into that or plant one left over from the holidays and try it on your own Good luck :)
