I really like the look of the smaller tiles creating the border, Julie. Is this a project you did yourself??

I designed it and bought all the materials but hired a contractor to put it together. Was really disappointed in his grouting (sloppy), so I ended up redoing it... Lots of weekends sanding each square to get it just right. Floor and decor had everything I needed at reasonable prices. I enjoy every shower! The large tiles are porcelain and the small squares are marble/stone.

Did you get some of your money back given that you had to redo so much of the work yourself?

No, no refund. Just glad I finally had it done. Was a lesson learned.

Very nice work! I like multi-colored tile jobs.

Thanks! Was a bigger project than I expected. Went a little over budget, but was very happy with the results. Was able to spend more money by shopping around to get just what I wanted-- had a couple quotes where they had all materials only out if their stores, would have been nice, but not the quality of products I could buy elsewhere for the same cost.

Do you have more pictures of your shower? I don't see your shower fixture. What I do see looks great. Sorry about the contractor, mine was a real idiot and didn't know a lot about tiling a shower. I made him redo the shower floor since the tiles were coming off. He had to grout the shower and floor, for that, he took $100 off the bill for the whole job.

Yours looks a bit like this one I did for a client.
