My Updated, Upcycled Jewelry Chandilier

My light fixture goes with my shower curtains now because the jewelry on it is from the same women as the hankerchiefs were. I spray painted it with rustolium hammered bronze. I restrung 3 diffenent stone chip neclaces with glass seed beads on beading wire and wrapped the center pole and the arms with a different color. I added neclace swags using old family jewelry and topped it off with Eastern Star earrings that were worn by the past 3 generations of women in my family.
All done with all the extra bling.

I do too. Every time I look at it I remember the women who came before me. My high school senior key is in there too.

@Kelly, I felt the same way with the little Christmas tree. I only did it one year though. I should find a way to display them, like you did, all the time. I've thought about making up a shadow box in some way, but time gets away from me so easily I've not yet done so.

I've seen the Christmas tree made in a picture frame using jewelry as the ornaments and garland. A shadow box is just a deep picture frame so I was thinking of gluing or wiring the jewelry to a picture frame back. Then make a shallow box to fit the picture frame, put the glass on and the back on. Sounds simple but taking the time is always the hard part.
