I save as many seeds as I can from various plants. I currently am experimenting with my magnolia seed. Tough to get to germinate, but I think I've figured out a way to make it work. Also harvest peony seeds this year. I want to give those a try as well.

@1 result is available, use up and down arrow keys to navigate.Deidre GYes, I do. I have several gardening buddies I swap with regularly. Our local garden club has a couple of seed swaps during the year and I always try to get to those. Seed swaps are a wonderful way to get acquainted with other gardeners, exchange both information and seed or cuttings. I rarely have much in the way of perennials, since I've always been primarily interested in veggies type crops. But it hardly matters, there is always somebody looking for what you want to trade. It's a great way for beginners to get seeds, cuttings and experienced advice on gardening.
