How do you unclog the little holes in the bowl of the toilet ?

I have a toilet that doesn't flush properly and I have discovered that the little holes under the rim through which the water is supposed to enter the bowl are clogged. Do you just pour vinegar in the tank and flush it through?

Drop a denture cleaning table(s) in tank. Let dissolve and then flush. I also use in my bowl--drop one or two in bowl, let dissolve, clean with bowl brush. It won't hurt the septic tanks....

Pour a bottle of white vinegar into the tank. Let it stand as long as possible and flush out the particles. I wouldn't put very warm or hot water in it because it could crack.

@Veronica Wheeler Yes it could crack ! I have had that happen. Viniger is safe and don't go hotter than luke warm.

I purchased a Pumie stone from Amazon and saved my mineral encrusted vintage toilet from demolition. I achieved excellent results by gently scrubbing around the holes. To avoid buildup, once a month I add vinegar to the tank . Great if you have to deal with hard water.

Here's a late answer, provided to me by my professional handyman: Use pipe cleaners to unplug the holes! If need more, try dipping pipe cleaners in vinegar then baking soda, and as they foam, poke in and around the holes.

I used pipe cleaners with nothing took time but worked great
