OCTOBER CONTEST POST

I just had to do this when I opened my cabinet for my morning coffee a few days ago and saw this mug with several different sketches of my favorite Playwrite! Suddenly, I was hit with the thought..."HOMETALKERS doth be clever!" That was when I knew I just had to do this.
It was hectic doing the drawing of the house since I am no longer proficient in any drawing program. This was done for fun...maybe we can all have a giggle!
The most fun was using my brain trying to come up with what to do to express my BRILLIANT OBSERVATION! Y.E.S.! HOMETALKERS "DOTH BE CLEVER!"
I love all the things you folks do...everything from the very difficult and most impressive, to the ABSOLUTELY AMAZING things you make out of nothing but junk...all those ugly frogs you folks kiss and turn into princes and princesses!
My sisters and I love the Alabama Shakespeare Festival and that is where I bought this mug years ago.
I needed some "October" bright color and theme so I went to the ads in the newspaper for a photo I could use.
I drew the HomeTalk house and printed it in color, cut out the oval for Shakespeare's Photo, added the "quote" and pumkin'! The hardest part was drawing the house! The cup will sit on my mantel through Thanksgiving!

I may even replace the pumpkin' with a Christmas Wreath! LOL

Happy Holidays to all of you...be safe, warm and loved!
Suggested materials:
  • Cup, paper, sissors, glue   (I already had everything!)
