Cedar Flower / Strawberry Boxes

These planter boxes were created using recycled cedar. I simply make a rectangle out of cedar and used some old cedar shingles for the bottom of the boxes. I used milkpaint to decorate them a bit and then filled them with strawberry plants and flowers. They are beautiful addition to my deck. http://saving4six.com/2012/07/strawberry-planter-boxes.html
I cut my cedar using the table saw.
They are screwed together with decking screws.
Milk paint soaks in very well to cedar.

Are there drainage holes in the bottom, or what did you do to minimize rotting?
