What is the best paint to use on outdoor furniture

This is a older teak wood table and chairs that I plan on gently sanding then painting. We live in Florida and it will be on our lanai

    Just a quick question first .Do you really want to paint Teak?Why not consider sanding and staining the natural approach.

    Teak is a high resin oily wood. Paint will not last. Use teak oil or boiled linseed oil and bring out the natural look of the wood.

    I agree with Janet Pizaro and William, if you want to see your teak last, you won't go anywhere near paint for this wood. Teak is a beautiful wood and is not suitable for paint.

    I agree, teak is not a wood that paint takes well to.

    Same opinion with the ladies and gentlemen here. No paint on teak, only sanding (I think 220 grit is more then enough) and then oil. And let's not forget that you'll have to oil it at least once every year.

    If you must paint it, I find that enamel paint on wood lasts longest outside.
