I hear that! Im in Cottage Grove Oregon, just picked about 30 pounds of Gravenstein and 10 pounds of yellow delicious from our trees. I canned the best ever apple sauce so far! next Im canning apples and dehydrating then using my food sealer bags for those. Nothing as tasty as fresh apples in the winter!

@Kimberly Im going to give the oven a whirl! I think 170 degrees, with the oven propped open to release moisture. I think I can do two large sheet pans at once. If not, I will get a dehydrator:}} They are on sale right now.
  • You are so right Kimberly, I live in the Okanagan Valley and apple picking is in full swing.
