Have you tried two parts vinegar to one part dish soap? Spray, let it sit for a while and wipe. You may also want to try the same mixture and baking soda paste. This will act as a scrubber. Good luck

One part vinegar (heated) to part blue dawn dish detergent. Mix, spray, let sit few minutes and scrub with magic eraser.

@Phyllis Clopton this is my remedy also Phyllis and it works great. I then rinse it all off and spray the doors with window cleaner and they shine like new ones!

Wet dryer softener sheets and scrub in a circular motion. Rinse. Use RainX to keep the doors clean longer.

I use the dryer sheets once a week and they work great. It's easiest to use while you are in the shower. Just wipe the entire door, and rinse well. I haven't tried anything else (and I've tried a lot of things!) that works as well as this.

I used to use Scrubbing Bubbles, but it seemed like they quit working. I now use one of those magic eraser things and they're GREAT. I also use Rainx now, though, so I don't have to worry about it so much.

I have had great success using SOS pads and GENTLY scrubbing the glass doors. You don't really have to apply much pressure, and once the soap scum is off, and the glass well rinsed, air dry and then apply a coat of RainX for car windows. You will NEVER have that problem again. I reapply RainX about every 4-6 weeks. There are about 5 or 6 showers a day go through my bathroom, so that is why I reapply as often as I do.

If you use Rain X as many people do, be careful as it can make tile or fiberglass showers very slick. I use dryer sheets and they work like a charm.

Spray n Wash works really well and so does WD40. I prefer the first - it smells better. I bought a 20+ year old home a few years ago & it still has the original shower doors. The previous owner shared with me & I still do it. Once a week or so is enough.

I'd check an automotive store, but you can always buy it online. :)
  • First spray the glass with Hydrogen Peroxide, then with Clorox Clean-Up Disinfectant Cleaner. the combination should bubble up and loosen the soap scum. then use a green scrub pad and/or a window paint scraper with a razor blade. once you have the scum removed, you can use an ordinary ammonia window cleaner to finish. Applying RainX or automobile wax will prevent this from happening in the future and also keep the glass from spotting.

After all of the good answers you have gotten on this, keep the soap scum away using body wash instead of soap & if you have a shower liner throw it into the wash & it will come out like new!

Easy off oven spray. Spray it on, let sit, then scrub off with the course side of a two sided sponge. Crazy, but it really comes clean!

Razor blade; does wonders. Scrape it off while it's dry and vacuum it up. I did this for years until I started using liquid body wash which does not make scum.

привет. я беру чашку соды,добавляю столовую ложку моющего средства для посуды и воду до состояния кашицы. отлично отмывает пятна в душе и оставляет приятный запах чистоты.

As Deborah Hannon mentioned, Easy Off oven spray is fantastic to remove soap scum! After the scum is cleaned off, but a bottle of Rain-X (automotive aisle of store) and follow the directions on the bottle as if you were applying to a windshield of a car. It will keep soap scum off for quite some time. Repeat the application as needed to keep the door scum free.

prevention has been the easiest thing to solve this for us. We have a 'squigee' window cleaner/scraper and wipe down the door after each shower, leave it open so it dries quickly, and tis keeps soap scum tio a minimum.
