EASY Diy Fall Wreath
Lately I can't help but notice all of the beautiful Fall decor I've been seeing around the blogosphere, but for some reason it took me a bit longer to get "into" the Fall season this year. In Texas, our Fall doesn't really arrive until October. It's been reaching into the upper 90's over the past few weeks and it just still felt like summer. Finally over this past weekend the temperature dropped into the 80's, which meant it was time to decorate for Fall!
Today's project is all about creating an easy DIY Fall wreath that you can use again and again. I wanted to make this wreath interchangeable for each season. There was no gluing, no wires - nothing but a pair of scissors. I bought all of my supplies at Garden Ridge; my base wreath was $9, the flowers were $3 (per bunch) and I bought berry picks for $2 per pack. I cut each flower from its bunch giving it a 3 inch stem. The next step is the simplest - all I did was stick each flower into the base wreath in the areas I desired. The flower stems were long enough that they stayed in place without moving or falling out. The berry picks didn't need to be cut; I inserted them in the same fashion as I did the flowers.
Since I didn't use any glue or wire, I will be able to re-use this wreath for Christmas. All I have to do is take out the flowers and berries and replace them with Christmas decor!
