Definitely. I had a similar experience with hostas when I planted some "August Moon" hostas in my New York garden. It was like they were illuminated from within.

Hosta "August Moon" is my favorite to use in designs that can handle chartreuse. It fits the scale of most gardens better than the huge hosta "Sum & Substance".
