Painting my metal garage door

My garage door has faded and looks really bad. I want to paint it, and would like to know if I have to use a paint meant for outdoor metals or if I can use a good exterior latex paint. The paints for steels and metals don't have much of a selection.

I have seen this done a number of ways. The most common is to use the same old exterior house paint.

I have painted many aluminum sided houses, wash and scrub with THP, if there is any oxidation after washing, you should use a binder adaptive to your paint (EB) . A good Satin finish 2 coats should do the trick.Will last 15 or so years
