How-to Make a Fall Sign With Wood Shims

Recently I made a great Fall sign using wood shims. It's a great project that allows you to create a sort of "puzzle" with your sign. By using a variety of Fall paint colors, I was able to create a great Fall decor that is reminiscent of the colors of changing leaves. Fall sign made from wood shims.
Simple supplies like wood shims and foam board are the basis of this craft.
The first step is to create the word "Fall" and then fill in the remaining area with more shims.
To make the word "Fall" stand out, I painted the letters with white paint.
The remaining shims were painted with a variety of Fall colors.
I layered the colors in certain places and made some areas darker than others.
I propped the sign against the back of the Welsh cabinet and added more Fall Decor.
It looks perfect in my dining room.
