Our home has a customer range hood of about 350 CFM.

But we want to change it with higher flow (~600CFM) but worry about the noise. What choice do I have? Are they expensive?

Anything good costs money. The question is, is it worth it? Will the 600 cfm be adequate? Generally, the better the hood you buy, the quieter the motor. But is the existing duct big enough for the fan? If it's too small that will decrease the efficiency and increase the noise.
