I'd like to find an old or new globe or shade to resurrect an old swag lamp--any diy suggestions?

What type of globe or shade are you looking for? Try the "Goodwill" stores and consignment stores as well as scavenger type used merchandise places. I'm sure you will find something.

I was thinking something crystally--with bumps--as from the 60's which I faintly remember these lamps--I have been to the GW and to the ARC stores--but nothing--so far

When I was looking for a retro style double swag lamp I went to ebay. Sometimes it is cheaper to buy the whole fixture and then just use the globes on the fixture you already have. You could just search for the globes as well.

I just searched for vintage swag lamps and there were a bunch. You do have to watch the size of the globes if that is what you are changing. Because of the style I already had I needed to change the whole fixture
