Gardening ... Lily ?

I live in southwest Fl.. I believe this plant is some sort of Lily.. The 2nd picture I posted are like pods that grow off this plant. I opened the pod up and there are not any little seeds inside of them ..And no flower bloomed from the pod either. What the heck are these little pods. Can another plant grow from them ? Thank you

What do you mean by the pods "growing off the plant"? How are they attached to the plant? Where did the plant come from?

It's not a lily. It looks more like Dracena. Where do the pods originate? Little stems off the main plant or near the roots? Can you get a better shot of the inside of the pod and the lower stem of the plant?

little stems off the main plant.. I have never gotten any flower bloom from it either ..... Yes I can get a better shot inside the inside of the pod ... I have lots of canna lilies in my yard doesn't look like them at all

Looks like my Hawaiian Ginger Lily. It grows a stem with white fragrant flowers in late summer.

Lycoris radiata It is a Spider Lily. They are very pretty and don't bloom till they have some age on them. Typically the ones we have in Fla. are white and Burgandy. Some of my faves. No muss no fuss. They will multiply at the base and are easily separated . Some will stay small and then some species can be giants. I had some white ones that were 4' tall !

This looks exactly like the lilies we have growing in our pond, unfortunately, I do not know the name. The "pods" ARE the seeds and you can plant these to grow them in water. They are SO fragrant and resemble a spider lily or rain lily.

I forgot to say, the pods come after the plant blooms at the end of the flower stalk. Ours had about 5 pods on it this year.

This looks like one I've had for over 30 years, and I don't know the name of it, either. It blooms big pink lilies... I have taken babies from the sides to transplant, and the blooms are white, like spider lilies. I live in South Texas - zone 9.

The plant has to produce some sort of flower to produce fruit like that. The foliage looks something like a crinum lily, but those have very showy flowers.

Looks to me like what in the Midwest they call a corn plant. (and I don't mean the kind that grow out in a field) I don't know what the real name is but I've seen several for sale as house plants. My aunt used to have one.

Answer to Dorene... no, I don't believe I have seen these pods. I need to check it when it blooms again. Maybe it's a different plant.

it is a crinum Lilly. They bloom on a long stalk. I have seen them in white and a variegated maroon.

they almost. Look like avocado pits . I'm not sure what avocado plants look like tho?

@cindy jones maynard is correct, in Ill we call it a corn plant. Ive had one for over twenty five years just got a second sprout off the original root.
