Ruffle Trimmed Lamp Shades With Glam

I found a pair of vintage black and white textured lamps while on a trip to Kentucky last spring that I could not pass up. The lamp shades needed updating, for sure, but the more I looked at the original shades, the more I wanted to mimic them as closely as possible. Tutorial on the blog.
DIY Ruffle Trimmed Lamp Shades on a pair of vintage glam style lamps.
This is how the lamp shades looked when I first spotted the lamps in antique store in Kentucky.
Cutting up circles from an thrift store curtain panel to make the ruffle trim.
Layering the circle back and forth along the edge of the shade created a ruffle look that seemed to work out well.
Painting the original shades black helped unify the look and add some glam.
