Painting vintage pine cradle

I have a large vintage pine cradle that is in good condition and I have no idea as to what to do with it. I want to paint it and maybe ad some stencils but I don't have any idea as to what color. Or if anyone has any ideas as to what I can do with it. I would like to repurpose it. Please HELP

You should sand it first. Use lead free paint for your cradle.

This is a really big cradle. Do you think if it were cleaned and painted anyone would use it for a baby?

I would not paint it ,just clean it good Lightly sand it and restain it,or use lemon oil on it.

After I restain it then what. My plan is to sell it. I have to decide what market to finish it for. Any ideas?
