Create Your Own Halloween Plates for $2

$1 doesn't take you very far these days, unless you walk into a Dollar Tree with a shopping cart and a 3-yr old. $1 still won't buy you much...well. It will buy you ONE thing.
Or in the case of my grandson's thinking, it will buy lots of $1 toys. :) It will also buy you plain white plates. Using a sharpie marker, a sparkly spider and some creativity - you can create some one-of-akind Halloween plates.
A glued-on spider adds a 3-D effect.
The white plates and black designs stayed true to the black and white color scheme.
Free-handed designs, using Picmonkey as inspiration, helped me create a "menu" of ingredients for a Witch's Potion. #totallyscary :)
The rats approve!

I LOVE Dollar Tree and have just discovered "Mighty Dollar", which opened in our area recently. It's awesome! I just purchased some plates from Dollar Tree to make the ___ days til Christmas plate, using chalkboard paint in the middle to change the days. You did a great job. I'm sure your grandson loves it!
