I happened to notice my daughters dresser. I noticed she could use something to corral all of her hair ties, bobby pins and such. I used this bowl from a frozen breakfast bowl because it isn't too deep. Hope she uses it.
For the green I actually used tissue paper and Mod Podge. This way it looks like it has some texture to it. Her name is made with stickers that I trimmed to only expose the black. A couple more coats of the Mod Podge and it was done,
Even though the bowl was already black I did the same thing with the tissue paper. With the gloss from the Mod Podge it looks ceramic.
