I would like some tips for tiling a kitchen backsplash yourself

    Hi Ann,

Make sure that the tile will be able to stand up to the rigors of being a back splash. It will get water, food and grease all over it. Porcelain and ceramic tile are good choices as the glazed coating on them makes them pretty resistant to these things. If you use some sort of natural stone, make sure you seal it with tile/grout sealer. Reapply the sealer at least once a year.
