What is the name of the waterproof product with a 10 year warranty. Is it paint or a sealer?

Home Maintenance & Repairs: The siding on our house needs painting. Has anyone had this done?

any idea how much it will cost? Should I just have the whole house painted? Budget is kind of tight.

What kind of material is the siding?

Painting: When our masonite house was painted the man scraped it down to the bear siding and didn't prime it.

Now it looks different to the rest of the house. Should it be primed before repainting the whole house.
