How to make a good Halloween scarecrow
Materials:
— A pumpkin/jack—o—lantern
— A lawn chair
— A ratty farmer style set of clothes: one pair of old jeans, a flannel
shirt, woorkboots, maybe a straw hat or a trucker’s cap
— A wooden dowel, pole/broken broomstick (to support pumpkin head)
— A couple yard bag’s worth of raked leaves, straw, or even Styrofoam
packaging foam peanuts if you live in the city — anything you can use to
stuff in clothing to blow it up, even newspaper would work.
Step l: Start on your scarecrow head—the jack—o—lantern, this will be
what makes the scarecrow in terms of scariness, humour, cuteness etc.
Decide in the beginning if you will carve the face or draw a face on it.
Step 2: Using your stuffing materials, whether it be leaves of whatever
(straw and leaves had the most authentic rustic look) begin to stuff each
piece of clothing individually until you obtain your desired fatness for
your scarecrow. Make sure that the flannel shirt is buttoned up in the middle when you begin to stuff it.
Its probably unnessesary to stuff the shoes.
Step 3: Begin to construct the body of the scarecrow. Take the torso and
upper body unit and strategically tuck it into the pants to form a
body — consider a belt or even a rustic piece of rope to help secure them together.

What did you use on the outside of his clothing? It looks like maybe corn shock but colored? And what did you use the lawn chair for?
