Vintage Powder Room

We wanted a small powder room with a big sink - It is near the outside walkout door and my art room, so I wanted a big sink, but I still wanted it to be a nice room and not look like a laundry tub in a box.
We started by framing in the room, including the space behind the sink for a shelf.
More framing
and then.. drywall. I was not too worried about having lots of seams because I was going to use a hand applied faux finish, out of plaster. So we used up a lot of scraps.
Hand applied finish..
We cheated and used "MDF" bead board. and upside down baseboard for our trim.
I painted everything, including the floor and we installed the toilet.
and the sink, I was lucky we found this unit complete with the laundry sink and taps for under$75. (Canadian) because it had a flaw on the left side,
I hung a shelf I made and a doll I made over the toilet. I also painted all my racks and toilet paper holders to be dark since I had a dark cabinet.
This is my mirror, comes of a non-existent dresser. I picked it up cheap and refinished it as it had been painted green. Then We used a piece of fir, stained to match and put a shelf on the bottom of it.
And hung it upside down over the sink - I left the original mirror in and you can see where the reflective qualities have been aged ( the 2 dark rectangles in the mirror)
and I put some old knick knacks up - made some antique looking labels and
The shelf is an old ornate photo frame that I attached to a frame and put bead board paneling behind and painted to match with a faux wood grain.
