Worms on Sunflowers

I have found some tiny black worms on my Giant Sunflowers and have no idea where they even came from. They are eating my leaves...Helpppp! Thank you!! Camera is broke so I have no way to take a photo. Any help is better than me not knowing!

Possibly what you are seeing is the larvae of the sunflower moth. See pictures and control strategies from Texas A&M here: http://lubbock.tamu.edu/files/2011/11/Sunflower_Pests_E_579.pdf

  @Douglas Hunt That's it! My sunflowers have not bloomed yet but I have already seen a moth on the plant. I guess she is waiting for it to open. Douglas what would I do without you..Thank you so much!
