Homemade Spinning Spice Rack W/Mason Jar Herb Holders DIY

This is finally the spice rack that I need — large enough jars to hold my homegrown herbs, easy to change in and out when I use something up and need to replace it, and it’s pretty. It’s the best of all possible worlds. Do you buy or grow herbs in bulk?

My husband built this is one afternoon and it took me a second day for the painting and drying bits. We used one sheet of nicer quality lumber so the painted sides would have a smooth finish. That's optional though. The lazy susan spinning plate was only $10 and the sample paint tub only $2.50 at Lowe's!
Cost: $50-75 Difficulty: Medium

Thanks! I grow a lot of my own herbs so having a few mason jars to store them in works out a lot better than repurposing grocery-store tubs.

Would like to see the full picture. How tall is it? Is it on a kitchen counter, or on the floor? What are the dimensions? Are the mason jars all the way around, on all four sides? Thanks!

I looked on the blog and can't see a farther-away shot to get an idea of how tall it is. I'll be watching for more pics too. Thanks.

takes up way too much room for my house. I use the metal cans with the magnets on the back & stick them to my fridge & the metal plate mounted on the inside of my pantry cupboard. I have 80 to 100 of those little suckers and I love them. You can take the lid off for large amounts, or slide it to either shake or dispense a bit into the palm of your hand. My label maker makes labels for the clear lid inserts.
