Shopping High End at Low Prices: Greek Key Console Table

I fully believe in browsing high-end style magazines and stores so you train your eye to see high-end style– and snap it up when you find it for a super low price. Open a décor mag these days and you’re almost sure to find something with a Greek Key pattern inside. Can I afford anything in those magazines? NO WAY. But it’s trained my eye to find diamonds in the rough. Take a look...
This table was lost in a lonely corner at a thrift shop. With some cleaning and spray paint, she became a high-end find!
I snagged this little beauty at my local Restore. For $26, she was waaaaaaay cheaper than the designer $900+ tables I have seen elsewhere!
I pried out the small suction cups that hold the glass in place so they didn’t get covered in paint, and cleaned the console table with a rag and windex.
She got a few light coats of gold spray paint. Painting the console table took about 15 minutes total on a sunny day with mild temps.
I know not everyone can find a Greek Key console table at their local thrift store. But I’m hoping this’ll inspire you to take 15 minutes to spray paint something a favorite color, or find high end style at your local Restore.
Because, really, isn't she gorgeous?
