I made apple butter in my crock pot and now I cannot get that apple/cinnamon smell out of it - it makes other dishes taste and smell like apples/cinnamon. How can I clean that taste/smell out of my crock pot?

EMBRACE IT! Apples and Cinnamon? Yum :) Well I take it the crock pot has a plastic lid since a ceramic pot and glass lid will not hold the scents. Try a piece of news paper and some charcoal for a few days (works well) or maybe you could try just sprinkling baking soda inside, put on the lid and letting it sit a few days. Good luck!

I would also say try soaking it in vinegar! Can't hurt!

Cook potatos in it , No fluid. Or as with others vinegar works miracles on lots of aromas.

Try making a paste out of baking soda, rub it all over the inside of the crock pot and let it sit for a day or so then wash it! If need be try again for another day or so.
