Got Joy? If you had this sign, you would definitely have joy. The sign was so easy to make, you could have joy in your home in no time! And you could even whip one of these out at the last minute before the festivities begin. It's that easy!
I started with an old cabinet door that I found while "Dumpster Diving". You could easily find old cabinet doors at your local Habitat For Humanity RESTORE, or you could just use a piece of wood, cut to the size you would like.
I purchase JOY Paper Mache letters in 8" size at my local Hobby Lobby. I painted the letters and the cabinet door the same color. When the letters were dry, I used Wood Glue to adhere the letters to the door.
When it was dry, I propped my JOY on my buffet. I love bringing my JOY out year after year.
I left my sign as is because I like to lean it against my Antique Mirror. You could easily add a hanging mechanism. NOTE: Add hanging mechanism to back of door BEFORE you adhere the letters, or you might crush them while adding the hanging hardware.
