Diy Fall Monogram Burlap & Floral Pillow

Happy Friday!! Here’s how I made this fun fall Monogram Pillow.
Here’s how to do it! First I cut out the orange and white stripe fabric in a rectangle 22″ x 12″. Then I cut out my K out of cardboard and traced it on the backside of the fall fabric. I grabbed a K wood block we have in our home but you can print one from the computer or draw free hand. Then I cut out my K out of the Heat n Bond. If you haven’t used this yet, it’s a amazing. Run, don’t walk and get some in your home. It’s fabulous for appliqueing and for patches. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve used it for patching little tears or rips in my daughter’s or hubby’s clothes, a tear in a bedspread and everything lays so much nicer when you sew. I got this at Walmart and it’s carried at all the fabric stores. Then you iron your fabric onto the Heat n Bond bumpy side piece. You may want to cover it first or put a cloth over so that edges don’t stick to the iron. Then peel the paper back off and get ready to iron the letter onto your fabric. Then iron it onto your fabric. I used a piece of burlap that I sewed onto the striped fabric. Sorry I didn’t take a picture of that step. Then embroider or zig zag stitch the edges of your letter. This is easy to do now that it is fused together. Everything stays in place and your stitches will look great. I stitched around mine twice and then pressed it. Then I sewed my two pillow pieces right sides together and left a big opening in the bottom. Turn it right sides out and press. Then add your stuffing and pin the bottom closed. Then hand stitch or machine stitch closed.
Put on your favorite chair or couch and admire. :0). You’re done! Time to relax.
Or think of your next project….lol. Come on over to the blog for lots more fun fall projects too.
