this looks nice, ken. i recently used a fabric track system from Quest Acoustics. It made for really tight corners and you could take the acoustic paneling under the fabric to any level your budget allowed for. wouldn't mind seeing pictures of this project as you get moving along...
Looks great Ken! I haven't used sketchup but seen some nice renderings from those who use it. I use Inventor for most of my projects. Please post the progress, many of us will find it as a valuable resource.
It has been a while since I posted the rendering of my proposed home theater, but I did finish it. The stage is a little different from the render but I think I turned out well. The TV is 60" which is sort of small for a home theater so I put a black frame around the tv to give it the appearance of being larger. All the components are LG and medium quality.
What are you looking as your A/V gear?
You must be real happy with how this turned out - looks like a dream theater!
I wish I lived closer and I could check those couches out for myself! :)
