Using Envirotex Lite on a vertical surface

I'm faux-granite covering my laminate countertops, but I'm having a terrible time getting the Envirotex Lite to cover smoothly on the vertical blacksplash area - I just get drips. Anyone have any hints for me?

Envirotex Lite is made for flat horizontal surfaces not vertical. Its a pour on epoxy finish. Only attempt, (not authorized), would be to wait till it thickens up before hardening and then paint it on the surface. Probably wouldn't work. It's not something I would use on a countertop.

I know that many Hometalkers have used Rustoleum or Giani for their countertops. I had to research EL. Didn't know what it was. That's how I got the information of what it is and it's use.

I primed then painted my laminate countertop. That worked great. I did one primer coat and 2-4 paint coats, then acryllic. I don't like the acryllic but I painted part with polyurethane and that's the best and what I will finish with. Has lasted for 7 months now and I have very messy adult male children living with me.

My countertop was originally orange. You have to paint a very thin coat, very thin. I had one section that bubbled up because i painted it too thick.
