8 AMAZING Uses for a Steam Cleaner

Did you know that cleaning and sanitizing tile and linoleum floors, granite and marble countertops, grills, ovens, bathrooms, curtains, concrete, and even wallpaper removal can all happen with one little machine and NO chemicals? NONE. Nada. Just water. This eco-friendly, chemical hating, germaphobic girl had to give it a whirl – and, hey, I could do each task (with the exception of the wallpaper removal) in under 15 minutes. Take a look... (and stop by the blog for even more examples!)
My granite countertops were CLOUDY. And dirty. I simply used the large brush attachment and moved it over the countertops.
My entire kitchen’s countertops were so clean they shined like the top of the Chrysler Building* in under 15 minutes. (*name that movie for eleventy billion points)
Sinks and faucets are one of THE dirtiest and germiest places in your home. Here is the picture BEFORE...
And AFTER!
Ceramic tile and linoleum floors clean like a dream with just steam and a large cleaning brush.
To remove wallpaper without chemicals, you place the Steam Plate attachment and flat against the wallpaper for 20-30 seconds.

My kitchen and bathroom cabinets are all white. The finish is sort of something they have been dipped in. They are not painted. I guess it's some sort of vinyl or hard plastic or something. We bought our house new in 1997, so it's whatever was popular then. One morning, I was steaming some clothes and saw a spot on a cabinet door. Without even thinking, I just automatically stuck the steam head up to the cabinet to clean it. I was so shocked to see the finish on the cabinet door puff up and then harden again! I cannot stress this to you enough. If you have this sort of cabinets, DO NOT CLEAN WITH STEAM!!!!! Luckily, I only ruined a small place on one of my doors, but I was flabbergasted when it happened!
