Amanda Hunter on Nov 06, 2016I am trying to determine if that's starfruit. I know it is not the typical color, but the shape of the blossoms/leaves/fruit look like starfruit. I may be wrong, but if it is, the name of the tree is called Averrhoa carambola (carambola, a.k.a, starfruit). They grow best in semi-tropical/tropical areas. So, if you live a state like Florida, Texas, or Hawaii, you may have luck cultivating one! They also flourish in Latin America, Caribbean, Southeast Asia, South-Pacific, and parts of East Asia. (Source: WikiLeaks, I mean, Wikipedia) Ha...You are from Texas...If this isn't a Starfruit tree, maybe you should considering growing one as well. And if I am wrong, at least I learned about the Averrhoa carambola plant! :)Helpful Reply

P.a7260485 on Nov 06, 2016Hi. Its call Golden Rain Tree. Because 1st it blooms little gold flowers and in the middle it has pink color. When all tiny yellow flowers fall, then u get pink coral flowers. It starts from from end of Oct to Sept. But its a beautiful tree. I had four of these trees. I live in Texas and they are all over. They make nice shade. When the flowers fall it make more babies. If u open the flower u see three seeds aand u can grow them. I love this tree its pretty.Helpful Reply
