Can anyone tell me what does Ready to assemble Cabinets means?

  • Most likely you will have to put them together just as furniture you buy from the store in a box.

Hey C Renee Fuller thanks for your answer, you said that it is same as furniture but furniture only required to be placed, so is it same with kitchen also. Please specify it more as I am not getting it exactly what you are saying.
    • @David Logan The cabinets will be in pieces and you will need to assemble them. Everything will be in box minus tools to put them together. They will mostly likely come in a flat box like a book shelf or entertainment center you buy from Target or Walmart.

Does it take such a long time for renovation.....
    • @David Logan It depends upon what money you have and other projects. We bought a renovation nightmare and so I have had to do the kitchen in stages. I initially bought my cabinets at a cabinet company I found on Craiglist advertising closeout deals on odds and ends which saved me thousands. I had other rooms to do ~gut a bathroom and start over as an example so my kitchen was put together but never finished. Ikea is a good place to go too if you like contemporary. Lowes and Home Depot are okay but I think you can find better deals at a cabinet place. I would look for a cabinet shop where you live and see if they have show rooms for sale ~many times they change showrooms to show new products. I even bought 2 pieces of granite at a liquidation sale for $50 which were about $1500 pieces of granite! had them fabricated at a reputable granite place for $450 and saved thousands! If you are willing to look, you can find deals. I will be posting pics of my kitchen soon~have some finishing touches. I did my backsplash for less than $10 in materials but will have about $30 -40 more for grout, trim, and odds and ends. If you find a good deal on cabinets, you can mix and match if you strategically place them~my island is different from the rest. I painted them recently and no one can tell that they are different. I hope this helps. I would estimate that it if you have the budget about 2-5 weeks depending upon skill level and what you are doing.
