the primary use for bottom cabinet other than storage is to provide something for the counter top to sit on...Not having a work surface would be pretty tough to deal with. We find this every time we go "boondock" camping where there is not a picnic table. we plan for this and bring our folding portable table. Inside a kitchen I suppose this could be worked around via the use of a table. We just spent the better part of yesterday re-organizing our kitchen cabinets. Pot and pans, baking dishes etc. we purged four good sized boxes of stuff and now have a streamlined storage system.

Mary Calzada You could put legs at ends of countertops-- I saw some on pinterest and google where no lower cabinets--google it first and see if the idea really is what you want. If so go for it-Could use baskets boxes, etc. on lower shelves or nothing And desk 1 gives ex. of how could use as a countertop, easily adaptable to it..-Are any of following pictures what you have in your mind?
