Here's an easy and inexpensive recipe for homemade suet that the birds seem to love. The ingredients provide birds much needed energy during the harsh winter months too. It usually takes a few days for them to find the suet after we put it out, but quite a wide varietr of birds find it.

You can also make it in a muffin tin and put a string in it to hang it in a tree. I also have used stale nuts or cereals.

Before freezing you can put a hole in the middle all the way to the pan's bottom. Freeze, then take it out sandpit a string via the hole to hang it.
