How to repair a chip on enameled iron ware?

My enameled iron ware pitcher was dropped.... Chipped the enamel off at the point of impact down to dark metal.

You could smooth it out a little by using an emery board or nail buffer so it blends in better and the chip is not as noticeable

Use "white out" liquid or buy white non-pearlized nail polish and apply gently.

Depending upon the color, you can buy a sink or tub enamel repair kit at you local hardware store. I don't know this, but I suspect: it can be colored with a toothpick's dot of oil paint.

The Home Depot and I think Lowe's sell an enamel touch up in white or black to touch up you appliances.
