I found these cute little glass butterflies and of course I just had to do something with them. They are so cute....but wait....they were necklaces. Made of Murano art glass, they are small, delicate, and gives a punch of color. I needed to create a home for them other than wearing them as a pendant necklace. Apothecary jars made the perfect choice for me.
Little glass butterfly has a perfect glass house
They started out as butterfly pendant necklaces. Murano art glass butterflies found on-line for very little.
Each came with a ribbon lace and cord necklace.
Took the necklaces off and attached circle rings to some, and glued tiny gem rhinestones to all.
Made 2-1/2" crystal drops to attach to each butterfly.
6 Beautiful butterfly crystal drops.
Gathered and cleaned the apothecary jars that will be used as homes for the butterflies.
And....Walla! Accessorized with glass stones and silk flowers. Hooked each to crystal glass wands.
A little glass butterfly vignette. Quick, inexpensive and charming.
