How to Build a Shiplap Wall for $75

Over the past year we have been updating our kitchen to give it more of a bright and white look. When you walked into our kitchen it was very dark and boring but now it has the wow factor that we were looking for. We decided that it needed one more thing to really make the room pop, we decided to do shiplap on our dining room wall. It was super easy to do and I love how it looks!
Time: 2 Days Cost: $75 Difficulty: Medium

This project only cost us about $75 to do. If you have paint on hand, then you could do it for as low as $40! It was easier than expected and cheaper, when does that ever happen??

Here is what our kitchen looked like 1 1/2 years ago. Although it isn't bad, it was a little boring and dark. It's not anymore!

The first thing we did was cut out the planks and nailed them to the wall.

Then we sanded, primed and painted it a bright white.

I love the shiplap walls. The turquoise is so great. The white cabinets really helped to lighten up the room. Great job. I wish I had a bar area so I could have some stools.
