White spots on my kitchen table

I have a cherry stain kitchen table that has white spots from where people have set hot plates on it. I have tried everything (I think) Do you have any suggestions?

Try rubbing any oily substance(peanut butter, oil, mayo, coconut oil )on to the spots in a circular motion. I have also heard of some using plain white toothpaste.

I've used the mixture of 3/4 C canola oil and 1/4 C vinegar. Mix well and rub into wood...no need to wipe off. Have used a few times on water spots...worked very well

Moisture had gotten into it. Fast fix towel and a iron don't use the steam setting. And iron it. It will remove it but it is still damaged. The only way to really fix it is to strip sand stain and seal.

Heat from a hair dryer will often remove these white spots. try it first? Just blow across the surface of the area for a few minutes. If that does not work, then try the DRY clothes iron on warm over a dish towel, and press over the area. NO STEAM!!!, as that is what is trapped under the finish. This has always worked for me.

Hi Sherry, pour a small amount of olive oil in a bowl, and add about 2 tablespoons of table salt Wrap a small clean cloth around your finger and dip it in in the oil/salt solution and very lightly rub it in a circular motion over the white spots. Let it sit for a few minutes and then take a clean cloth and gently wipe it off. The white spots should disappear.
