Use Washi Tape to Make a Winter Wonderland on Your Walls

3 Materials
You can create a glittery Winter Wonderland of Christmas trees and snowflakes right on your dining room walls (or any walls in your house, for that matter). This home decor idea is perfect for apartments, because it's all temporary!
Strategically place the trees to make them the focal point on your walls this holiday season.
Begin with plain walls that need beautification.

Once I figured out an easy way to make the trees symmetrical without using some type complicated math formula, they were quick to make.
First, create a center line with a weighted piece of twine tied to a push pin, and mark your measurements on the walls with chalk because it’s easy to wipe off when you’re finished.

For my measurements on my medium tree, I measured and marked down the center line every 7 inches {I marked larger increments on my larger trees, etc}.
Then, at each of the 7” intervals I measured equal distances from the center and marked the wall, repeating the process at each interval by equally adding inches to the length from the center.

For example, my first set of marks were 4” from the center on each side.

My second set were 7” from center, then 9”, then 12”, and so on.
When all my marks were on, I measured equal lengths of the wash, and put them on the walls from one point to the other.

Then, I cut the smaller cross pieces and connected all the points.
Create all sizes of trees for your walls.
The lines are clean and modern looking, and add a pop of color to your walls.

I also created snowflakes using washi tape.

When the season is over, they peel right off the walls. I didn't have any damage to my paint, but if you're worried about yours, try it on a sample wall first, wait a few days, and see if the paint stays in tact.
