Raised gardens

Can concrete blocks be used for raised garden beds? I would like to place a double row around my garden and fill it all in with good rich dirt for the winter. Maybe cover the whole thing with plastic? Am I on a good train of thought???

Concrete blocks are perfectly fine for a raised garden bed. i am not sure what you are asking about the plastic though. Is that for over the top of the bed as a greenhouse type thing or over the ground before the soil? Over the top sure, just be sure to have a way to easily remove as your plants get bigger or it gets too hot on them. You will need to vent it in someway. On the bottom, not a good idea. Your water will pool and roots will rot.
