Thick wool, the color of your choice and some beautiful faux succulents will make this wreath something interesting to look at and very unique.
A package of Moss, available at Michaels or craft stores
I added a bit of moss to fill in some spots that I thought needed a little beefing up.

Wrap your finger knitting around the wreath. Secure with extra yarn at beginning and end.
Two skeins of yarn finger knitted will give you all you need wrap around a foam wreath. Tie it off or pin it down at the ends.
