Lighter fluid will remove it but it is messy and smelly. If the surface is not porous spread mayo on it and let it set for 7-10 minutes then wipe clean. Repeat if necessary. I also use a hair dryer on medium to melt the glue and wipe off with a paper towel. Be careful not to burn yourself or melt the container if it is plastic. Good luck!

so happy that I could help. Learned this trick when I was trying to get stickers off of a mirror to an antique bedroom set and did not want anything runny that could seep in and ruin the silvering. Happy Holidays

You can also use ''Goo-Gone", Citrus Power and Scientific Technology combine to defeat the toughest stains. It is can be purchased at Lowe's or any hardware store. Just apply some and wait a few minutes then wipe off with a paper towel. Sticker should come off with just one treatment.

Shout Spray in an aerosol can.

    Spray it on.

Let it sit for an hour or so.

Adhesive softens and can be easily removed

Have used it for this purpose for years.

Can't remember it never working for me.
